Manila Ocean Park

The Manila Ocean Park is an oceanarium in Manila, Philippines. It is owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc., a subsidiary of China Oceanis Inc., a Singaporean-registered firm that has operated four oceanariums in China. It is located behind the Quirino Grandstand at Rizal Park. It opened on March 1, 2008.^[1] In terms of floor space, the 8,000 square metres (86,000 sq ft) oceanarium is larger than the Sentosa Underwater World oceanarium in Singapore, and features a 25-metre (82 ft) underwater acrylic tunnel.

Oceanarium

The Oceanarium is home to 14,000  marine creatures from around 277 species, all indigenous to the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Its sheer size and diversity makes it one of the world's best public aquariums. The Oceanarium is a stunning walkthrough of the watery depths featuring seven sections and containing 1,900 cubic meters of seawater. At the heart of the Oceanarium is the main attraction - a 25 meter long, 220° curved walkway tunnel with a spectacular underwater view of amazing sea creatures swimming overhead.

The water source for the Oceanarium is filtered water from Manila Bay. A special process is done to ensure that the seawater is suitable to marine life. It has an educational activity area, unique function rooms for special events and bi-level shark and stingray viewing facilities.

My first visit in MOP was the year when it was built back in 2008 think around July,courtesy of my cousin  Ate Tin Tin:) Oceanarium pa lang yung meron dati wala pa yung ibang attraction na meron na ngayon.

The sad part was i lost all the pictures i have kasi sa Friendster ko na upload yung mga picture na yun ang sama ng friendster wala man lang abiso na mag lalaho pala sila sana wag maging ganun yung facebook for i have more than 100 photo album in there:)

Manila,Rizal Park Orchidarium

• Orchidarium and Butterfly Pavilion, established in 1994, was a former parking lot developed into a one-hectare rainforest-like park. The Orchidarium showcases Philippines' rich collection of orchid species and butterflies. The pavilion is also a favorite venue for weddings. This definition comes from Wikipedia :)

Said it is a one- hectare rainforest-like park of orchids but trust me this is the only kind of orchids i saw on our visit here. Nananawagan po ako sa mga nais magdonate ng orchids wag po kayo magdalawang isip. Naalala ko tuloy yung mga Orchids ni lola nung tumira ako sa San Bartolome Novaliches mas maganda pa yung mga orchids sa likod bahay ni lola kesa sa orchidarium ng Rizal Park :( 

Baka siguro hindi pa tagsibol ng mga orchids ngayon kaya walang orchids? Pero baket yung kay Lola whole year may bulaklak yung mga orchids nia na miss ko tuloy  yung mga waling waling ni lola inaalagaan pa kaya nila ngayon yun? sana naman,

so okay na pag mumuni muni ko lets move on na ulet!!

Hinahanap namen yung butterflies area kaya lang hindi namen nakita baka siguro yung yung area na nakasarado sa bandang gilid kanan galing sa entrance.

Manila, Rizal Park Children's Playground

Children's Playground, the section of park built for kids, is located at the southern corner of Rizal Park. The playground was also renovated in 2011
Inside the park is a theme of Jurassic creatures cast in cement where kids and adults can enjoy swings and slide  or picnic under the shade of tall trees. 

 The Children's Playground entrance is located in General Luna Street beside the old Finance houses the Department of Tourism Building.

My kids is taking the lead :) when they saw the Jurassic sculptures  they knew where to go from T.F. Valencia Circle

As we enter into the playground now she's leading me to her Shoe House :) 

But she run here instead because she saw  Kulas on this way:) 

wherever Kulas goes she goes too baby buntot ganyan sila kapag lumalabas kame kabaliktaran pag nasa bahay lang.

But me which main purpose is of course pictures so i asked them to roam around first

.I noticed waters in some areas but dont see any live fishes swimming to makes the water alive its looks like stagnant to me they have water system to generate it in cycle  but it was shut down so i hope no dengue mosquitoes  are living in there or i hope they do have maintenance to avoid mosquitoes. So when planning getting a trip here make sure you are protected by insect repellent.  Because we cannot tell lalo na kapag dayo lang tayo mabuti na yung nag iingat.

I remember how she was frightened to those  Jurassic figures on our first visit here. She was scare to death when i put her down into the rocks while im trying to get pictures of her with the Jurassic background. 

 But look at her now :) such an improvement. She realized it wasn't real.

By the way the play ground have comfort room but i didnt check myself for the condition because when im going to public places i only use CR when badly needed.

Total expenses for this playground trip is 300 i'm expected lower than that but so many vendors put me in trouble haha lalo na yung ice cream ang mahal nakakainis haha. We took jeep from FB Harisson Edsa to Kalaw street for 13php x2 lucky that the gate sa gilid ng National Library of the Philippines was open :) Voila!!eh shortcut. Then going back to house we took LRT from U.N station to EDSA station for 20php  x1 then jeep 8php x1 from Edsa station to FB Harisson Street. Yun tulog si Pipay pauwe ang bigat grabe. Wala kasing pasok kahapon Feb 25 ang alam ko Feb 26 and EDSA Day hay naku si PiNoy  kung ano na lang maisipan.
